Create a Sidewalk Talk chapter to engage your community.

We’re elated to have over 7,000 listeners who have trained through the Sidewalk Talk Listener Training program, but true community transformation happens when you bring Sidewalk Talk to your community.

Sidewalk Talk listening chapters build strong, resilient communities.

When listeners like you unite on sidewalks and street corners, you send the message that you have empathy and compassion for your community… And that’s the first step to building resiliency. Sidewalk Talk chapters help people:

  • Discover free and affordable support services

  • Become empowered to befriend and encourage one another

  • Feel truly heard and understood

How do you know if leading a Sidewalk Talk chapter is right for you?

Listening to and strengthening your community is a process, not an event. Our Sidewalk Talk chapter leaders are people who:

  • Feel heartbroken by our negative society

  • Want to serve people who are often excluded or overlooked

  • Look forward to learning and practicing leadership skills

  • Desire to include diverse people toward a common goal

  • Are enthusiastic about forming and bolstering new friendships

  • Are loving and growth minded people!

Our chapter leaders activate our mission.

When you become a Sidewalk Talk chapter leader, you’re not just sitting on a sidewalk... You’re literally fueling our entire vision of creating a world of connection and belonging, where everyone matters.

Sidewalk Talk chapter leaders inspire their community. Your dedication allows us to:

  • Reach new isolated communities and people around the world

  • Cover the cost of starting new chapters and programs

  • Maintain our website, podcast, and other vital resources that support leaders like you

Becoming A Chapter Leader Webinar

Sit back for 30 minutes and learn all that is involved. We are a grass roots, volunteer-led effort. We created guidelines and change them about once a year with feedback from the community.
